VELVET FLARE, a distinguished digital arts and immersive projects studio based in
Luxembourg, is actively seeking a Lead Artist to join our dynamic team. The studio is
working on high-end artistic creations for international culture and entertainment markets
and is on the mission to establish itself internationally .


About Us


Specialised in scenography and hybridisation of immersive technologies, VELVET FLARE
aims to become an international reference in the creation of location-based immersive
works. The studio includes an in-house design and manufacturing workshop alongside a
forward-thinking technological R&D Lab.


VELVET FLARE has a melting pot of talent, with a team from a wide variety of backgrounds:
coders, creative technologists, scenographers, 3D animators, music composers, authors,
designers all united in our goal to craft ambitious and unique artistic works.

As the dedicated studio of a_BAHN, a multi-awarded production company based in
Luxembourg, we had noteworthy collaborations including an internationally touring
immersive experience and a narrative VR game, developed in partnership with international
studios and exhibitions.


Position Overview


Type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week) with a 6-month probationary period.
Location: Oberkorn (Luxembourg). This role requires an in-office presence.
Start Date: Immediate.


Main Responsibilities


- Define or understand and communicate the art direction of the project to ensure that
the art team executes this vision as faithfully as possible.
- Ensure that the artistic direction is respected and evolves according to decisions.
- Work with 3D artists, technical artists and programmers to ensure the best possible
visual quality, while respecting the technical constraints.
- Ensure the technical and artistic quality of the elements produced and make
modifications when necessary.
- Model, texture and implement quality 3D elements.
- Setting up an environment's level art

- Help recruit, support and develop a team of artists.
- Support, inspire and coach artists while providing a clear, well-considered direction
and feedback on their work.
- Assist the project director to plan, prioritize and manage the team's daily tasks,
ensuring that objectives are achieved in terms of deadlines, compliance with
constraints and quality.
- Collaborate with your team and other departments to bring strong ideas to the project
level.

Qualifications


- Extensive experience in XR, animation or video game studios / production
companies, with a strong focus on international productions and cross-border
collaborations.
- 5 years experience as a 3D generalist artist (good knowledge of tech-art is a plus)
- Extensive experience in the various stages of real-time 3D asset creation: modeling,
texturing, shading.
- Knowledge in Unity, Unreal Engine.
- Skills in AI image generation.
- Demonstrated ability in managing both on-site and remote teams.
- Good sense of responsibilities, constraints, and schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills internally and externally.
- You are a good communicator, which allows you to clearly express your ideas,
collaborate with your team and peers, and build strong relationships.
- Full Professional Proficiency in both English and French.
