Mudam – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean is seeking an experienced Fundraiser to join its Développement des ressources department.

Opened in 2006 and designed by the Sino-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei, Mudam offers a demanding and inspiring working environment at the heart of a museum fully dedicated to contemporary art and culture.

As part of the ongoing development of its strategic positioning and the diversification of its financial resources, Mudam is recruiting a professional with solid experience in institutional fundraising.

Mission

This strategic role supports the funding of exhibitions, artistic programmes and the museum’s structural activities, in particular through philanthropic foundations, institutional funding and European programmes. The Fundraiser plays a key role in building and sustaining long-term European and international cultural networks, contributing significantly to the museum’s long-term strategic positioning.
A strong knowledge of the contemporary art scene – including its artists, trends and ecosystem – is essential. Working in close collaboration with the Director, curatorial teams and external partners, the post holder actively contributes to the structuring and professionalisation of Mudam’s institutional fundraising within a multicultural, multilingual and demanding environment.

Key responsibilities

In close collaboration with the Director General, he/she defines financial objectives for projects, identifies long-term funding partners, analyses relevant funding programmes and develops funding applications in close cooperation with project leaders. He/she also designs and implements an overarching fundraising strategy aligned with the museum’s scientific and curatorial content and maintains sustainable relationships with foundations, institutional funders and international partners.

  • Regular reporting (project progress, impact, financial reporting) to ensure full transparency.
  • Preparation of multilingual reports for international partners and European institutions.
  • Analysis of the impact of funded projects and communication of results internally and externally.

Strategic planning and advisory role
