As part of Luxembourg Art Week 2024, a conversation between curator Livia Klein and Bjornus Van der Borght, the founder and visionary behind Curator Machine.
This innovative project, which takes the form of a vending machine, challenges the perception and acquisition of art. Each work is offered at affordable prices, anonymously and blindly. The six guest artists, all with digital backgrounds, were invited to use 3D printing to explore the impact of the corporatisation of the Internet on social networking and its repercussions on our daily lives.
It infiltrates a market situation with artistic action and renders the consumer into an art collector. Curator Machine explores the intersection between art and consumerism, exploring similarities and the potential of artistic integration in market spaces.
Guest speakers:
Bjornus Van der Borght (artist)
Moderator: Livia Klein (Independent Curator)
