UNESCO Biosphere Reserves - Photo and Short Video Competition
“Capture the Future: Global Youth Storytelling Initiative for People and Nature”
Promoted by UNESCO in partnership with vivo, this initiative invites young photographers and visual storytellers (18–35) to submit original mobile photos or short videos documenting how communities and ecosystems coexist in one of the world’s 784 Biosphere Reserves, from biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation to cultural traditions and sustainable innovation.
In 2020, the Minett region became a Biosphere Reserve recognised by UNESCO.
Selected participants will receive awards, including the opportunity to take part in an in-depth training camp on visual storytelling, as well as professional equipment and other recognitions to further support their work.
